Wiesbaden, Germany

The Wiesbaden Museum presents the recent work of the Memorial to 1964 living in Uruguay concept artist. Camnitzer (b. 1937) includes this directly to his 2002 at the documenta 11 presented series From the Uruguyan Torture. Memorial is reproduced with the phone book of Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay, page after page was. By digitally inserted Camnitzer those were people who over the years of military rule (1973-1985) "disappeared". These victims are now back but "visible", but remain, as their phone numbers are missing, but "unattainable". Persistent, intrusive and seemingly incorruptible covers the sinister, merely reduced to writing minimalist to "document" the great injustice of those years.
