Chloë Bass: Wayfinding, the newest exhibition at the Pulitzer Arts Foundation, consists of a mixture of signage that doesn’t seek to identify or direct, but rather spark the imagination and invoke an emotional reaction. The signs range from billboards asking broad philosophical questions to small garden signs with more poignant and personal sentences. Bass has scattered them around the Pulitzer Arts Foundation in three areas: in the Park-Like green space across from the museum, the tree grove behind the museum, and around Pulitzer along Washington. Bass has crafted an audio piece to accompany the installation, complimenting the contemplative piece with further personal narratives and information more specific to the St. Louis area and the Pulitzer. The installation will be available until October 31, 2021.
