Kang Seung Lee is a multidisciplinary artist who was born in South Korea and now lives and works in Los Angeles. His work frequently engages the legacy of transnational queer histories, particularly as they intersect with art history. In 2023, Lee had solo exhibitions at museums in Seoul and Los Angeles. He is a recipient of numerous awards and fellowships, including the 2023 Angeles Art Fund Artadia Award and the MacDowell Fellowship. His work will be included in the International Exhibition at the 60th Venice Biennale. Recorded on Mar. 7, 2024.
