SOUS LES PIXELS, LA MATIÈRE invites four international artists to question the relationship between real and virtual, through works where nature and artifice mix. Régina Silveira, Ana Maria Tavares, Mona Kim and Nicolas Tourte offer works, including a series of new site-specific productions, which oscillate freely between physical matter and digital matter, stimulating new ways of seeing and conceiving of digital as an instrument of creation plastic: from video mapping to augmented reality, including photography, sculpture, video and multi-media installation.
Based on an idea from the ÉCHANGEUR22 artist residency, and the laboratory for the development of new ethical curatorial and technological practices LABIRINTO, with the critical collaboration of Viviana Birolli, the PONT DU GARD presents a resolutely transgenerational and transcultural exhibition with several voices , which promotes ethical and artistic use of digital technology.
The exhibition will be presented on the left bank of the Pont du Gard site in several locations, indoors and outdoors: in the Pont du Gard exhibition rooms, but also in the surrounding area and on the bridge itself.
